Training Event: OTA Workshop Current and future trends for optical communication systems 7-8 Apr 2022; Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and online.

Project FONTE is organizing a FREE and Open-To-All Workshop on Current and future trends for optical communication systems at FONTE partner DTU/Denmark 7-8 Apr 2022. The 2-day workshop features 3 seperate tracks:

  • Practical Implementation and Network Applications of Nonlinear Fourier Transform;
  • Machine Learning Methods for Ultra-Wide Band Systems;
  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Applied to Multiband Optical Communication

Addressing both current and future trends, this workshop is particularly suited for PhD students and Early Career Researchers working in the fields of Photonics and Fiber Optical Communications.

High profile speakers from both Industry and Academia include Antonio Napoli (Infinera Germany), Jelena Pesic (Nokia), Sander Wahls (TU Delft), Laurent Schmalen (KIT), Marija Furdek (Chalmers), Andrea Carena (PoliTO), Alan PT Lau (HKPU), Michael Galili (DTU), Stanislav (Stas) Derevyanko (Ben Gurion University), Marco Secondini (SSSA), and Cristian Antonelli (University of L’Aquila) among others. Main organisers: Darko Zibar/Francesco Da Ros (both DTU) and Sergei K. Turitsyn (Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies).
