General Description

Technische Universiteit Delft (TU Delft) is an internationally recognized research university that has been ranked 16th in the Engineering and Technology section of the world-wide QS World University Ranking 2014/15. Its mission is to make a significant contribution towards a sustainable society for the twenty-first century by conducting ground breaking scientific and technological research which is acknowledged as world-class, by training scientists and engineers with a genuine commitment to society and by helping to translate knowledge into technological innovations and activity with both economic and social value. The ERC has awarded research grants to nine researchers at TU Delft in 2013. The university’s international strategic partnerships thrive on these solidly-built, long-term researcher relationships, some of which over the past four years have grown into TU Delft Joint Research Centre initiatives based in Brazil (Campinas), China (Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan) and Vietnam (Hanoi).

Key Research Facilities, Infrastructure and Equipment

TUD will work on developing the algorithms in FONTE, for which no specialised equipment is needed.
